Legal Associate at MDLBEAST

As a Legal Associate at MDLBEAST, you will be an integral part of our Legal Team, working closely with the Head of Legal to provide legal advice and support to business and functional leaders throughout our organization. This role offers a unique opportunity for young lawyers to gain valuable experience and grow within a highly successful and fast-paced organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support for corporate housekeeping
  • Draft and negotiate contracts
  • Draft, review, and maintain precedent documents and templates
  • Handle contract disputes with third parties
  • Support in drafting guidelines and policies
  • Provide support in compliance cases
  • Support internal processes operated by the Legal Team, such as roll-out of contracts and managing legal master data and register filings
  • Participate in projects aimed at improving processes and efficiency of the Legal Team
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules, and regulations that directly affect the entertainment, music, and media industry

Job Requirements: Legal Associate at MDLBEAST

We are seeking a highly qualified Legal Associate to join our dynamic Legal department at MDLBEAST. As a Legal Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our legal operations and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

  • Bachelors / Masters in Law: A strong educational background in Law is essential for this role. A Bachelors / Masters in Law is required to demonstrate a deep understanding of legal principles and practices.
  • 1-2 years of in-house or law firm experience: Previous experience working in an in-house legal department or a law firm is preferred. This experience will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in this role.
  • Entertainment, Music or Media background is ideal: Having a background in entertainment, music, or media industries will be highly advantageous. It will enable you to better understand the unique legal challenges and requirements of our industry.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and rigorous person: Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are crucial in this role. You will be responsible for managing and maintaining legal documents and ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to work largely autonomously with limited direct supervision: We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently and take ownership of their work. The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines is essential.
